Offshore and Subsea Structures Decommissioning & Project Management for Offshore Engineers (OSSDPMOE) Level 1 & Level 2

$1950.00 $650.00 exc VAT

Purpose

The primary purpose of the OSSDPMOE Level 1 & Level 2 course is to equip offshore engineers with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively manage and execute decommissioning projects for offshore and subsea structures.

After completion, candidate can acquire the knowledge and skills needed to safely and efficiently carry out decommissioning activities on offshore and subsea structures. This can help them to advance their careers in the offshore oil and gas industry or other sectors that use offshore and subsea structures, as well as contribute to the safe and responsible decommissioning of offshore infrastructure.

Course Objectives

  • The course aims to enhance participants’ understanding of the technical, operational, and regulatory challenges associated with decommissioning offshore structures, enabling them to develop and implement safe and cost-effective decommissioning strategies.
  • By focusing on project management principles, the course aims to develop participants’ skills in planning, scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring the successful execution of decommissioning projects within specified time-frames and budgets.
  • The OSSDPMOE Level 1 & Level 2 course seeks to foster an understanding of the environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements associated with offshore decommissioning, promoting responsible and sustainable practices in the industry.
  • Ultimately, the course plays a crucial role in preparing offshore engineers to take on leadership roles in the decommissioning of offshore and subsea structures, contributing to the safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible removal of aging infrastructure and the overall growth and sustainability of the offshore energy industry.

Description

The OSSDPMOE Level 1 & Level 2 course provides comprehensive training on the decommissioning processes, project management principles, and engineering considerations related to offshore and subsea structures.

This course covers the fundamental concepts of decommissioning offshore structures, including platform removal, subsea infrastructure removal, well plugging and abandonment, and site remediation.

Participants will learn about the key aspects of project management, including planning, scheduling, risk assessment, stakeholder management, and regulatory compliance, through theoretical lectures, case studies, and practical exercises.

The Level 1 course focuses on introducing participants to the essential principles of offshore and subsea structures decommissioning and project management, providing a solid foundation in the subject matter.

Level 2 builds upon the knowledge gained in Level 1 and delves into more advanced topics, such as advanced structural analysis, offshore platform removal techniques, environmental impact assessments, and financial considerations in decommissioning projects.

Offshore Decommissioning & Abandonment (SODA) Level 1 & Level 2 covers Overview of offshore and subsea structures, Reasons for decommissioning, Offshore decommissioning regulations and guidelines, Comparative analysis of decommissioning strategies, Well plugging and abandonment, Topside and subsea removal, Offshore decommissioning alternatives to complete removal, Offshore decommissioning project management framework and principles, Offshore decommissioning project initiation and planning, Offshore decommissioning risk management and mitigation strategies, Offshore decommissioning stakeholder engagement and communication, Overview of offshore and subsea structures and equipment, Offshore decommissioning dismantling and demolition techniques, Offshore decommissioning environmental considerations, Offshore decommissioning waste management and disposal, Offshore decommissioning procurement strategies and options, Offshore decommissioning contractor selection and management, Offshore decommissioning cost estimation and budgeting, Offshore decommissioning liability and insurance, Offshore decommissioning tax and legal implications,Case studies of offshore and subsea structures decommissioning, Offshore decommissioning best practices and lessons learned, Offshore decommissioning future trends and challenges,Offshore decommissioning Cost Estimation Example, Offshore decommissioning Environmental Impact Assessment Example, Offshore decommissioning Risk Assessment Example, Salvage Value Calculation Example, Offshore decommissioning Liability Calculation Example, Offshore decommissioning Decommissioning Bond Calculation Example and more.
